The Dalmore 12 Y.O 70CL

The Dalmore 12 Y.O 70CL is recognized as a whisky with character far beyond its age. The spirit is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, yielding soft vanilla and honey notes. A proportion of the spirit is then finessed in pinnacle Sherry casks, including 30-Year Old Matusalem Oloroso casks, exclusive to The Dalmore, to give the whisky a rich, nutty character. The two styles are then reunited to create an outstanding single malt.

The Dalmore 12 Y.O 70CL

Launched in late 2008 to replace the previous 12 year old, this single malt from the Dalmore distillery is a toasty, coffee-rich dram with beautifully spice notes and a thick mouthfeel. Very rich for a 12 year old.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: A warm coffee house in Seattle; roasting beans, the oily nuttiness in a fine espresso, there are little notes of malt and cereal and butter from the pastry counter with rich orange from the fruit bowl on the counter.

Palate: Notes of Seville marmalade and triple sec with winter spices and fruitcake. Zesty cocoa and milk chocolate.

Finish: Medium, oranges.

An outstanding single malt matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and finessed in rare and aged oloroso sherry casks.

Rich for its age with the smell and taste of roasted coffee, Dalmore 12 Year Old is a beautiful single malt loved by many a whisky fan. Its palate contains triple sec, Seville orange marmalade and spices for the most delightful taste and its ends with a medium orange finish.
